Rumor: New Jersey receiving offers for both PK Subban and Taylor Hall

The landscape in the NHL is about to change as the American Thanksgiving has now passed and executives around the league benchmark where they think their team is going to end up in the standings. In New Jersey, it's been a year of disappointment after a massive offseason, and it turns out some major names are now in play.

Reports surfaced yesterday that the Devils are listening to offers on Taylor Hall and according to executives connected to Devils management, the team has also received an offer for both, PK Subban and Taylor Hall.

The team who called about both Subban and Hall is believed to be the New York Islanders as the divisional rival is willing to include draft picks and prospects to make a serious run this year. It's not often a blockbuster trade happens within the division, so the package would have to be massive.

If Subban is moved, expect the Devils to eat about $1.5-2,000,000 in salary. This will give the Devils a chance to hit the reset button and acquire young assets who will surround Jack Hughes.

Other teams interested in Hall include the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche. Mention of Subban's name is new, but it makes complete sense as the Devils are not as good as they thought they would be and GM, Ray Shero has a perfect chance to reset and retool quickly.

It's devilish, as things are heating up in New Jersey.
