Rumor: Calgary Flames and LA Kings continue trade discussion

The Calgary Flames continue to work the phones trying to upgrade their forward group, and the team has recently held discussions with the LA Kings for Tyler Toffoli.

Toffoli is a hot commodity as the 27-year-old, UFA to be has almost 50 playoff games under his belt. He's enjoying himself a decent season, with 27 points in 48 games on a struggling Kings team. The Flames are after a right-handed forward, as they are extremely left-side heavy at the moment.

Toffoli fits the bill. The Flames prefer to keep Sam Bennett and Dillon Dube and trade for Toffoli using prospects and picks. The dialogue has continued over the past week or so, as the Flames are not sitting on the cap space they created with trading Michael Frolik and want to find someone for their right side soon.

Tyler Toffoli will be traded before the deadline, and it appears he could be headed for the Red Mile.
