Mikko Rantanen To Begin Mandatory Military Service

Though Finland is a peaceful nation, their laws mandate that all physically-able males complete a minimum of 6 months of military service. They have until the age of 29 to complete their service, and those who do not fulfill this requirement are imprisoned. Mikko Rantanen has yet to complete any of his conscription duties and will begin this summer.

His military service is expected to be completed in stages, but his occupation or level of fame will not exempt him from service. He will spend this summer living in barracks and participating in weapons training.

Teammate and fellow countrymen, Joonas Donskoi, has already completed his mandatory military service.
