NHLTR: Vancouver and Toronto talking Tyson Barrie

According to Bob McKenzie the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks have held recent talks regarding a trade centered around Leafs defenseman Tyson Barrie.

McKenzie went on to mention the Leafs have been receiving calls from a number of teams on Barrie. Leafs GM Kyle Dubas is open to a move only if it makes the team immediately better. The creative GM could do exactly that and take the return from the Canucks and flip it into something they consider to be an upgrade on Barrie.

Matt Dumba and Josh Manson are the two 'bigger' names the Leafs have been linked to for what seems like ages, but nothing has materialized. There is potential one of the two RHD mentioned gets dealt but there's also a chance Dubas goes off the board and surprises the masses.

Some wildcard names to strictly consider would be Drew Doughty, Colton Parayko, and Rasmus Ristolainen. All with different likeliness but each with similar attributes. They shoot right-handed.

Keep an eye on the Leafs. If Bobby Mac starts mentioning names, we all listen.
