Rangers Artemi Panarin still confused about Chicago trade

The Chicago Blackhawks fan base was dealt a punch to the gut on Wednesday night as Rangers forward Artemi Panarin made it clear he would prefer to still be playing in Chicago.

When asked about the deal, the Russian star had this to say:

Artemi Panarin: “When I played in Chicago I thought I would play here my whole life. And that happened (the trade). It still confuses me.”

When the trade went down, Patty Kane was open about his frustration about the deal. Perhaps he never considered the consequences of signing a massive deal of his own.
