Matthew Barnaby finished his career with 2562 minutes in penalties. He fought Zdeno Chara 4 times, and according to a bouncer in Nashville, Barnaby is still in the business of fighting monster-sized men.

Before we proceed, please ensure you understand there is always 3 sides to every story, both parties side of what happened and of course the truth. So no passing judgment until the details come out, however, the alleged story goes.

46-year-old Barnaby was booked into the Metro Nashville jail at 1am on Thursday, charged with choking a bouncer at Nashville Crossroads Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville.

Police were called to 419 Broadway early Thursday morning in response to an intoxicated individual. Once on scene, security from the venue advised that an altercation broke out between Barnaby, his girlfriend, and other patrons at the bar.

Tyle P Hardy, a bouncer at the bar, says he was choked by Barnaby during the altercation and wanted to press charges. Barnaby was taken into custody and charged with assault public intoxication. He is free on pre-trail release and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.

A source told NHLTR directly "he was jumped by 4 people and couldn't avoid it, and Barnaby never threw a punch'.
