Update: NBA has suspended season. Will the NHL follow?

The San Jose Sharks and Columbus Blue Jackets made the decision to play the rest of March without fans in the arena because of the coronavirus. Today, The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus a pandemic. In its early stages, there are 118,000 cases in 114 countries and 4,291 deaths. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said:

We have called every day for countries to take urgent and aggressive action. We have rung the alarm bell loud and clear.

Sources say the NHL is now considering urgent and aggressive action against the outbreak. NHL Insider, Pierre LeBrun says:

It should surprise no one, but a source also suggests to me it's also a possibility for the NHL to delay/push back its season. Not saying it will necessarily happen, just reporting that it's a possibility. Lots of different conversations happening right now.

What do you think, is the action appropriate under the circumstances? Or is it too aggressive to delay the season?
