Report: Finnish Liiga to Conclude Season without Fans in Attendance

Across Europe, we are seeing several teams taking action to reduce risk associated with the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It appears the Finnish Liiga is the next domino to fall.
In accordance with the orders from the Finnish government, the Finnish SM-Liiga has agreed to conclude their season without fans in attendance. Given that this order is nation-wide, KHL Jokerit, based in Helsinki, will be forced to take the same action.

This comes after several other European leagues have postponed or even cancelled the remainder of their seasons, like the German DEL, for example.

The NHL board of governors is expected to meet with representatives from all 31 teams this afternoon, and will likely reach a final decision regarding the conclusion of the season by 2-3 PM this afternoon.
