PK Subban thinks 'he's still one of the top defencemen'

PK Subban is as entertaining as they come, both on and off the ice. The polarizing defenceman has enjoyed a solid career to this point, starting in Montreal, making a pit stop in Nashville and now with the New Jersey Devils. Lately, some have questioned his play but that hasn't taken a toll on Subban's self confidence. He still thinks he's one of the best, just ask him.

Subban caught up to the Men's Journal earlier this week, and had this to say:
In my opinion, I'm still one of the top defencemen in the league. When I'm in the biggest games, the biggest moments, I feel that I'm one of the players that teams would love to have on their team and that they can rely on, and that's always been my game. I want to win everything every year. That's what you train for. If I didn't have the mindset of trying to be the best at what I do every day, then what's the point of doing it. You might as well retire.

The only rebuttal you will hear from some, '$9 million for 18 points isn't cutting it'. We certainly hope Subban doesn't retire any time soon, and happy belated birthday from the NHLTR fam.
