Travis Hamonic Is Opting Out Of NHL Playoffs

Calgary Flames defenceman Travis Hamonic has opted out of the NHL's Return to Play.

Flames General Manager, Brad Treliving announced that Hamonic has opted out of the 2020 NHL Playoffs.
"Earlier this evening Travis called me to inform us that he has decided to opt out of the NHL Return to Play Program. Travis explained that due to family considerations, he has made the difficult decision not to participate in the Stanley Cup Qualifier and Playoffs."
Hamonic's decision comes hours after the NHL and the NHLPA ratified a Return to Play plan and a new CBA. Hamonic will not be in the lineup against the Winnipeg Jets, or any playoff round this season.
