Rumor: New Jersey Devils To Trade P.K Subban

P.K. Subban has been heavily criticized for his play last season. He has two years remaining on his contract with an annual cap hit of $9 Million. He had just 18 points in 68 games and finished the season with a plus/minus of -21. The New Jersey Devils are reported to be looking to move the blueliner as per The Athletic.

Subban came under fire for his lackluster performance this season, but it doesn't end there. He was criticized for his social media presence and self-marketing instead of being focused on the game. Moreover, his hefty contract will certainly be an obstacle in any sort of trade negotiation.

Corey Masisak of The Athletic discussed the possibility of Subban being traded in a recent mailbag. He notes that the Devils will need to assume 50% of his salary and possibly add additional pieces to the deal in order for a team to pull the trigger.
