Mark Stone Cheap Shots Tyler Bozak: Justin Faulk Makes Him Pay

The main storyline between the Vegas Golden Knights and the St. Louis Blues was supposed to be the first matchup between former Golden Knights Captain Alex Pietrangelo and his former team. Instead, the focus has shifted to the Golden Knights' Captain Mark Stone and his cheap shot on an unsuspecting Tyler Bozak.

Darren Pang of Fox Sports Midwest ripped into Stone after the dirty hit and rightly so. In the latter minutes of the second period, Stone hit an unsuspecting Bozak away from the play, making direct contact with his head. Bozak did not return for the remainder of the game. Stone received a two minute minor for interference. 15 seconds after Stone exited the penalty box, Justin Faulk engaged him in a spirited scrap. The Blues clearly took exception to this play. Bozak's status remains unknown, but it seems reasonable to believe neither he nor Stone will be in the lineup as they rematch on Thursday.
