Arizona Coyotes Listening to Trade Offers for Dynamic Forward

An interesting name has hit the trade rumor mill lately as Arizona Coyotes young star Conor Garland is drawing a ton of trade interest. According to several reports, the Coyotes are willing to listen to offers on the 25-year-old and are only interested in trade packages that include multiple picks.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, he sees the Boston Bruins as an obvious team with interest. The only problem for the Bruins is the Coyotes prefer 'high' draft picks and not ones later in rounds and with the Bruins' success, that's usually where they sit on the draft board.

So far this season Garland has broken out and has recorded 25 points in 35 games. This does come after a season scoring 22 goals so it appears Garland has figured out how to produce in the NHL level after being a fifth round pick back in 2015.

Here's what Friedman had to say via 31 Thoughts:

A name that surprised me: Conor Garland. I don’t think there’s much Arizona wouldn’t consider, but this one is very intriguing. He’s finishing his current contract at $775,000, is nearly a point-per-game player, and is tied for 24th in the NHL in even-strength points. I’m told the way the Coyotes see it is they need to replenish, and moving him could do it. He’s also arbitration-eligible this summer and next, followed by unrestricted free agency, so a much-deserved raise is on the way.

If the Coyotes find a suitor who is willing to pay the price, a deal with a ton of assets could be headed to the desert before April 12th. If the 'Yotes don't receive a huge package in return, their fan base should be pissed for them giving away such a young talent.
