Video: Boston Bruins Honor Franchise Great Zdeno Chara With Awesome Tribute

The Washington Capitals made their way to Boston on Wednesday to play the Bruins and it was 'Zdeno Chara Night' in Beantown.

The long-time Bruin made his first return to the city where he spent more than a decade and won a Stanley Cup in 2010-11. While Chara was open to a return to Boston for this season, the franchise was only interested in a reserve role for their captain.

The towering defenseman then decided he could play more minutes in Washington and even at 43-years-old the Caps felt a one-year deal was worth it for Chara's services.

Here's a look from Wednesday night in Boston this was a first class tribute and well deserved for Big Z:
