Maple Leafs William Nylander to Remain Out of the Lineup

The Toronto Maple Leafs have avoided the COVID-19 protocol list pretty well this season but unfortunately are dealing with it at this current moment as forward William Nylander is away from the team. Turns out he's going to be out for at least another seven days after he came in close contact with someone who was positive for the Virus.

Nylander was held out of Wednesday's game with the Montreal Canadiens after he was in contact with this individual who is not a part of the team. The game went on as scheduled after it was determined Nylander was the only one potentially exposed. Even though he participated in the morning skate before the game the potential exposure from him to his teammates was deemed not to be long enough to be contagious.

The 24-year-old forward is having himself a fine season playing on the team's second-line with John Tavares and new left-winger Alex Galchenyuk. In 39 games so far this season, Nylander has scored 30 points and looks to get back to form in time for round one of the playoffs.
