Video: Flyers' Laughton Delivers Brutal Cross-Check to Devils' Johnsson

Scott Laughton of the Philadelphia Flyers plays on the edge and his team loves him for it, but on Sunday night against the New Jersey Devils, Laughton delivered a nasty cross-check to forward Andreas Johnsson that crossed the line.

The play happened during the third period and Laughton may have been frustrated being down 3-1 with less than five minutes left, but regardless there's no room for these types of plays in the game. Johnsson fell awkwardly into the boards as the cross-check caught him by surprise and had to be helped off the ice.

Crazy part about it all is the play ended up sparking the Flyers as they killed the late penalty and then Claude Giroux scored two goals with the extra attacker, in the final two minutes of the game. Philly went on to win in a shootout 4-3.
