VIDEO: Oilers Connor McDavid Comments on Trade Rumors

The Edmonton Oilers were swept by the Winnipeg Jets and everyone is feeling bad for the pain and suffering Connor McDavid is having to go through. The best player in the league can't seem to be able to create enough magic in the postseason for his team to be successful and he's not getting much help. Regardless, McDavid stated the obvious and ensured everyone knows, he's not going anywhere.

The NHL's Art Ross trophy winner met with the media after another early playoff exit and had this to say about some of the trade rumors out there:

That's not the case at all. We have a great core. We want to see this thing through together.

There you go, simple as that. However, besides Leon Draisaitl, Darnell Nurse, and a couple of others, some people may challenge McDavid on his 'great core' comment. The team is desperate a game-changing goaltender, they need more secondary scoring and a right-handed center. Throw in the fact Tyson Barrie looks like he's priced himself out of town and the team's other question marks on defense, and there seems to be more questions than answers with the Oilers.

One answer we do know, enough with the McDavid will eventually leave talk. He's going to ride it out with his franchise much like the Alex Ovechkin's of the world, who had to handle the pain and suffering for a long time before reaching the glory.
