Oilers Ethan Bear Receiving Racist Messages on Social Media

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Ethan Bear has been receiving a number of racist messages via social media as we are reminded of how terrible some people are. Bear's girlfriend released a message on Tuesday morning, outlining some of what's been going on.

This is just brutal to hear about and you wish everyone had the same level of respect and dignity in the world, but unfortunately as we know, that's not the case at all. Some in the hockey community have reached out and shown their support for Bear and let's hope we can continue the fight for equality and respect for all:
