Video: Maple Leafs John Tavares Returns to the Ice

It was a great sight on Thursday as Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares hit the ice for the first time in a week after a horrible scene in Game 1. Tavares was knocked out of the opening game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after being struck in the head by Montreal Canadiens forward Corey Perry.

The Leafs have been facetiming Tavares after each of their three victories against the Habs and their spirits were lifted yesterday when he showed up to the practice facility. Tavares is the heart and soul of the Leafs and is their leader both on and off the ice, so the team is trying to do whatever it can to ensure he gets another chance to lace them up with his teammates.

The Leafs and Canadiens are set for Game 5 on Thursday night as Toronto looks to make it four wins in a row.
