2 Teams Who Should Sign Brandon Saad

Brandon Saad should be a very popular free agent this off-season. The Colorado Avalanche may not be able to bring him back, as they have to focus first on re-signing Gabriel Landeskog and Philipp Grubauer. They are simply bigger priorities because of their importance to the team. With Saad's vast playoff experience and hard work ethic, he would be a fantastic addition to any  new team.

He also produces quite nicely when it comes to his offensive numbers. In 44 games this season, he registered 15 goals and 24 points. This type of offense makes him a quality middle-six winger. It also helps that he is effective with his defensive play, too.

These two teams should work extra hard to sign Saad this summer.

St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues could use a bit of a change with their roster next season. This season was particularly disappointing for them, as they barely made the playoffs and were then swept in the first round. Maybe bringing in a guy like Saad could help turn things back around.

They also have a handful of forwards who are set to hit free agency. Two of these include fellow left wingers Jaden Schwartz and Mike Hoffman. If they are unable to re-sign them, expect to see the Blues contact Saad. He would be an upgrade for them in terms of his defensive play especially.

Dallas Stars

After losing in the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals, the Dallas Stars took a monstrous step back this season. Although they did have a lot of injuries, they desperately need more depth upfront. Saad would be a fantastic addition to help fix with this problem.

The Stars also are a bit weak when it comes to their left wings specifically, so Saad could relish with more playing time. The Stars need more offensive contributions from their other lines instead of relying solely on their top line. This season without Tyler Seguin showed that completely.
