Hockey Insider Confirms Buffalo Sabres Trading Jack Eichel

The battle between the Buffalo Sabres and Jack Eichel has been one for the ages, as his neck injury and the piled up losses have really put a damper on their relationship. According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Sabres are done with Eichel and are trading him.

Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams would like to get his coach in place first before moving his captain as he will want to get a sense of what style the coach is going to play to match up his acquired players accordingly.

There is no shortage of interest in Eichel as the blockbuster deal will go down this summer. The Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets are considered the most interested with the New York Rangers, Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames not far behind.

Eichel is trying to deal with his neck injury at the moment and wants to have a procedure done that's not ever been approved to be performed on an NHL player. Friedman points out a lot of teams are on the side of the Sabres on this one. Now let's just see what team meets their trade demands.
