Mock Draft 1.0: Seattle Kraken Load Up on Veteran Talent

The Seattle Kraken get ready to announce their roster on July 21 and there's some big names available for the taking. If the Kraken decide to load up on veteran talent, they could get creative to not only set themselves up to be competitive next season, but also maintain some financial flexibility moving forward.

Seattle Kraken Mock Draft 1.0:

While the defense may be a little light on talent, the likes of Jake Bean, Cal Foote and Haydn Fleury help make up the core moving forward and two names are very familiar to Kraken general manager Ron Francis. The team would have the deepest crease in the league with this set up. Price would be the #1 when healthy but as he's expected to miss most of next season, Driedger would get the starts with two youngsters pushing for minutes. This roster would have over $12 million in cap space in 2021-22, and $42 million in 2022-23. Not a bad start for the franchise!
