Rumor: Nick Foligno Leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Foligno is set to hit the open market on July 28, and turns out he has a pretty good idea where he's headed. Rumor has Foligno leaving the Maple Leafs and signing a contract to play with his brother Marcus and the Minnesota Wild.

The Foligno brothers have wanted to play together at some point in their careers and finally may be given the chance. Nick's tenure in Toronto was not a good one as the Leafs gave up a boat load to acquire the power forward and he ended up producing four assists in seven regular season games and only one assist in four playoff games. Foligno would end up hurting his knee and missing time in the postseason.

As for the new chapter in Minny, the Wild have been trying to find top-six forwards and the eldest Foligno appears to be on their radar. He'll bring some more sandpaper to the club and it should be interesting to see if the brothers end up playing together on the same line. Don't expect Foligno to be the only move the Wild make this offseason.
