Trade Rumor: Coyotes and Sharks Discussed a Big Deal

The Arizona Coyotes have been one of the busiest teams so far this offseason and they don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The team is trying to land a number of draft picks for the next two entry drafts, and have been successful so far. Expect this trend to continue as the team has held trade talks with the San Jose Sharks regarding center Christina Dvorak.

Dvorak is one of the hottest names on the trade market at the moment as teams are lining up with offers. His developing two-way game, along with his 31 points in 56 games have teams very interested in the 25-year-old. Add in the fact he's signed for four more seasons at a very reasonable $4.45 million on the cap, and there's no doubt he's a wonderful trade asset to have for Coyotes' management.

The Sharks are looking to upgrade their forward group and are also trying hard to trade Evander Kane. Several Sharks players have approached management about getting Kane moved and while that's very likely to happen, don't expect Kane involved in any deal for Dvorak. If the young center goes to the Sharks, expect some prospects and at least one top-two round draft pick to end up in the desert.
