Details Revealed on Why Evander Kane's Still Being Investigated by NHL

The San Jose Sharks have a distraction on their hands and his name is Evander Kane. With his gambling addiction and divorce going public over the summer, it's certainly taken spotlight away from his career season in 2020-21. Now it turns out there's two more investigations ongoing by the NHL.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Kane is being investigated over breaking COVID protocols the league has in place and for his past behavior towards Ms Kane. Both very serious matters and very different matters.

If you remember back the Washington Capitals had several players suspended for multiple games and the team was fined $100,000 for not following the league rules when it came to protecting yourself and others from COVID. This investigation could certainly lead to a strict punishment for Kane and the Sharks.

The team opens up their regular season on Oct. 16 in Winnipeg and so far Kane has yet to make any public comments about these two ongoing investigations which could hover over the team to start the 2021-22 season.
