Video: Huge Update on Maple Leafs Auston Matthews

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue training camp on Tuesday and there was a new face at practice. Forward Auston Matthews has joined his teammates, well ahead of schedule after undergoing offseason wrist surgery.

The Arizona native and reigning Rocket Richard trophy winner looked like himself out there, dangling like crazy and showing off his shot and soft hands around the crease. The Maple Leafs forward is poised for another massive season in Toronto.

The Leafs lost to the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night without Matthews in the lineup, and while at first he was expecting to make his debut on opening night, word is there's a very good chance he plays in a couple of preseason games.

Last season the 24-year-old recorded 41 goals and 66 points in 52 games and you should expect to see him reach at least 50 snipes in 2021-22. Here's the first look at Matthews during Maple Leafs practice and no wonder Leafs Nation is crazy excited for this season:
