Ottawa Senators Prospect To Have Hearing

Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators is set to have a hearing today for his cross-check on Pierre-Luc Dubois' face last night.

Dubois also received 15 stiches as a result of this hit.

The Senators selected Greig with the 28th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He's been noted as a very tenacious and physical forward, which certainly should make him a noticeable player for the Senators down the line.

In 21 games last season with the Brandon Wheat Kings, he scored 10 goals and recorded 32 points. With that, he had 39 penalty minutes. During the season before with them, he had 60 points and 83 penalty minutes in 56 games.

He also had his first taste of professional hockey last season as well. In seven games with the Belleville Senators, he scored a goal and recorded three points.

It will be interesting to see what sort of punishment Greig receives for his hit on Dubois.

On a side note, the youngster also had a very nice goal last night that's worth watching.
