Vegas Golden Knights First Ever Player Signs New Contract

Back in 2017, the Vegas Golden Knights memorably signed Reid Duke as their first ever player. Now, the 25-year-old forward is sticking around, as he has signed a one-year AHL deal with the Henderson Silver Knights.

Although Duke never played a game for Vegas, it's nice to see him stay with the organization in some capacity. In 17 games with the Silver Knights this past season, he scored four goals and had eight points. He spent the three previous seasons with Vegas' former AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, and had 31 points in 97 games.

Duke should continue to be a nice depth scorer for the Silver Knights this season. Although he likely will never make the NHL, his place in Vegas' history will last forever.
