Video: Daniel Vladar's Crazy Save

Daniel Vladar left a very good first impression last night for the Calgary Flames. The 24-year-old goaltender faced a sequence of shots before successfully saving one last attempt with a reverse snow angel.

The Flames acquired Vladar earlier this off-season from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 2022 third-round pick. The youngster played his first five regular season games with the Bruins last season. In them, he had a 2-2-1 record and .886 SV%. He also stepped in for relief during the 2020 postseason in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He would let in three goals on 15 shots.

Vladar is expected to compete for the backup job, and if he keeps making saves like that, his chances will only increase. In Calgary's 4-0 loss to the Oilers, he made 21 saves on 23 shots.
