Report: Organizational Changes Coming For Chicago Blackhawks

According to Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, organizational changes are coming to the Chicago Blackhawks due to the findings from the Jenner & Block investigation.

The team will be holding a virtual press conference Tuesday afternoon to discuss the investigation. One notable omission from it is general manager Stan Bowman. Instead, Blackhawks owner and chairman Rocky Wirtz and Blackhawks CEO Danny Wirtz will be representing the team for it. Furthermore, the leader of the investigation, Reid Schar, will also be there.

Bowman was the general manager of the Blackhawks back in 2010 when the alleged assaults by former video coach Brad Aldrich took place. When former skills coach Paul Vincent was informed about them that May, he told Bowman, then-team president John McDonough, executive Al MacIsaac and mental skills coach James Gary. When Vincent asked the team to report the allegations to the police, they refused.

Aldrich would later confess to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Michigan high school hockey player in 2013. This was after his time with the Blackhawks.

We will have to wait and see what changes are coming from the Blackhawks.
