2 Winnipeg Jets Most Likely to be Traded

The Winnipeg Jets currently sit 9-5-4 on the season, good for third in the Central division. Their roster is loaded with veteran Jets under contract with term, however they do have a couple of players who could be dangled as we approach the trade deadline.

2 Jets Who Could be Dealt This Season

Nathan Beaulieu: The veteran defenseman is a pending unrestricted free-agent and it doesn't appear a contract extension is on the horizon. Jets management has gone out and signed multiple defensemen to multi-year contracts including the likes of Nate Schmidt and Brenden Dillon and the 28-year-old appears to be the odd man out as Logan Stanley is impressing the coaching staff and has leap frogged Beaulieu moving forward. So far in nine games, Beaulieu has recorded one assist and while it's likely he would need to be included in a trade package to get anything of significance in return, he certainly could be moved this season.

Ville Heinola: The former first round pick is hard pressed to make the Jets roster as a full-time contributor and will be dangled for some forward upgrades this season. At only 20 years old, Heinola still has lots of time to develop into the player everyone expected him to be when he was chosen 20th overall in 2019. So far in 14 games with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, the Finnish defender has recorded an impressive 12 points. If the Jets are going to make any blockbuster or bigger trades this season to improve their top-six forwards, expect Heinola to be the major piece going the other way.
