Ottawa Senators Defenseman Out Long Term

Ottawa Senators defenseman Josh Brown will be out for the next four-to-six weeks with an upper-body injury.

The Senators have had a very rough season when it comes to injuries and illnesses, so losing another player like Brown is another hit to their depth. Given the fact that they possess a 4-12-1 record and are trying to save their season, this is not good news at all.

In 13 games this season, Brown has zero points, a minus-5 rating and seven penalty minutes. Even if he hasn't taken the world by storm, he is another player from Ottawa's roster they now will be without for at least a month.

Prospect and 2019 first-round pick Lassi Thomson should end up staying with the NHL club because of this. In his first five NHL games, he's impressed with three assists.
