3 Potential Landing Spots For J.T. Miller

The Vancouver Canucks are having a horrible season even after making many moves over the summer. At this time, they have a 6-12-2 record and are eventually going to make trades if they continue to struggle this significantly. One player who has found himself in the rumor mill lately is forward J.T. Miller. The versatile forward is having an excellent season, as he has 19 points in 20 games. With that, his contract doesn't expire until after next season and he has an affordable $5.25 million contract.

These three teams should be calling the Canucks about Miller.

Minnesota Wild: It's already been reported that the Wild called the Canucks about the possibility of a Miller trade. Therefore, it's apparent that Minnesota has interest in the 28-year-old forward. Given the fact that they could use an upgrade down the middle, it ultimately makes sense. Don't be surprised to hear talks continue between the two franchises.

Philadelphia Flyers: After starting the season off well, the Flyers have hit a very rough patch. They have lost each of their last four contests and are 3-4-3 in their last ten games. With that, Kevin Hayes is out again and is deemed as being week-to-week. When looking at how competitive the Metropolitan Division is, they may want to make a move quickly. If they continue down this trend, they could very well miss the playoffs again.

New York Rangers: Could the Rangers consider a reunion with Miller? At this time, they have a 12-4-3 record and seem to be a legitimate playoff team. It's also known that they want another forward because of Sammy Blais' season-ending injury. Miller is capable of playing on the wing and has become a bigger offensive force since his days with the Blueshirts. Due to the fact that he also is under contract for next season, he could be Ryan Strome's replacement as second-line center if the latter leaves via free agency.
