NHL Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins Talking Trade

The Boston Bruins have reportedly heard from over 10 teams regarding a trade for Jake DeBrusk. The Bruins forward requested a trade out of Boston over the weekend and one team to watch for is the Chicago Blackhawks. Rumor has the two teams have discussed a one-for-one swap.

The trade would see DeBrusk head to the Blackhawks and Dylan Strome head to the Bruins. Both players are former first-round picks who could use a change of scenery.

Strome is 24, and a pending restricted free agent. He's played in 12 games this season, recording three points and has this season left on his current contract paying him $3 million.

DeBrusk on the other hand is 25, signed this season for $3.67 million and has appeared in 17 games recording three goals and three assists. He's played mostly on the team's third-line with some time demoted onto the team's fourth line.

The Bruins are actively shopping DeBrusk and this is just one offer to consider. Word is the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks have all been in contact with the Bruins. It won't be long before DeBrusk is moved, even with Boston being without Brad Marchand for a few games.

For now, DeBrusk remains a Bruin and will be held accountable for his actions by their leadership group...
