St Louis Blues Call Up Top Prospect

The St Louis Blues are making dreams come true. The team has called up 2020 Hobey Baker award winning defenseman Scott Perunovich from the American Hockey League, after the d-man has been lighting up the league.

The 23-year-old mobile defenseman has been turning heads with the Springfield Thunderbirds in the AHL. The former second-round selection from the 2018 draft is a 5'10, 185-pound defender who loves to jump into the rush. Perunovich's vision and ability to make plays in transition are what sets him apart from other rookies.

So far in 12 AHL games this season, the Blues prospect is leading the league in scoring with 20 points. All he does is put up points and win no matter where he's playing as Perunovich captured back-to-back NCAA titles in 2018 and 2019 and then took home the best player award in 2020.

In some other moves, the Blues also sent down defenseman Calle Rosen, goaltender Joel Hofer and forward Dakota Joshua.
