Two Players Placed On Waivers

The Montreal Canadiens have placed forward Adam Brooks on waivers. The Vancouver Canucks have also done the same thing with defenseman Guillaume Brisebois.

Out of the two, Brooks is the most interesting player. The 25-year-old seems to have potential to be a solid goal-scorer in this league. He was also claimed by the Canadiens from the Maple Leafs before the start of the regular season. Due to this, the Leafs have priority over every team and will very likely be bringing him back.

In four games this season with Montreal, Brooks has one assist. In 11 games last season with the Leafs, he scored four goals and added an assist.

Brisebois had been on season-opening injured reserve, so it appears that the 24-year-old defenseman is inching close to returning. This is a move that very likely would have occurred at the beginning of the season if he was healthy when looking at Vancouver's depth on the backend.

Brisebois played a game with the Canucks last season and was held off the scoresheet. He also played another eight games with Vancouver during the 2018-19 campaign and had an assist.

Perhaps the Canadiens could give him a shot, as he was loaned to the Laval Rocket, their AHL affiliate, last season.
