Los Angeles Kings Top Prospect To Make NHL Debut

Alex Turcotte will be making his NHL debut on Tuesday night when the Los Angeles Kings take on the Vegas Golden Knights.

Without a doubt, all Kings fans will be keeping a close eye on Turcotte. The 20-year-old forward was selected by LA with the fifth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, so naturally, there's a plethora of hype following him.

Turcotte has played in 18 AHL games with the Ontario Reign this season. In them, he scored three goals and recorded a total of 10 points. In his first season with the team last year, he put up a 21-point campaign in 32 games.

Although Turcotte hasn't necessarily been lighting up the AHL by storm yet, he is still so young and has an immense amount of potential to become something special. Keep in mind, during his lone season with the University of Wisconsin, he had nine goals and 26 points in 29 games.

Nevertheless, congrats to Alex for making the NHL squad! Even if it's just a short-term stay for now, it's still a big accomplishment.
