Video: Canadiens Josh Anderson Out Weeks After Scary Hit

The Montreal Canadiens not only lost to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night, they also lost of their best wingers as Josh Anderson was hammered into the boards on a scary play and now is expected to be out for two-to-four weeks.

The play happened mid-way through the second period when Anderson was trying to forecheck on the Avs' defenders. Kurtis MacDermid of the Avalanche took exception and ended up sending Anderson into the boards head first.

The Canadiens forward left the game and did not return. His head coach confirmed after the game Anderson's expected to be out for a minimum of two weeks but more likely out a month. Another tough blow in Montreal as their season is falling apart at the seams.

Forward Laurent Dauphin will be recalled from AHL Laval to take Anderson's place in the lineup.
