Ducks Lose 2 Players

The Anaheim Ducks have placed Cam Fowler and Anthony Stolarz in COVID-19 protocol.

This is bad news for the Ducks right now. At this time, they have been struggling immensely and are starting to perform like how most people expected they would this season. Over their last 10 games, they have gone 2-6-2 and have also lost three straight contests. They now are third in Pacific Division and many teams are catching up to them.

Losing a key defenseman like Fowler is certainly not ideal because of everything that's been going on. He's having another solid year, as he has five goals and 20 points in 39 games. That kind of production from the back end is nothing to scoff about at all.

Although Stolarz is the team's backup, he is also having an impressive year. At this time, he sports a 6-5-2 record, 2.66 goals-against average, and .919 save percentage. With solid numbers like these, he's proving that he's a legitimate NHL goaltender.

Alas, the Ducks will now go on without one of their best defenseman and their backup goalie. That won't do them any favors as they try to move past their cold stretch.
