Two Key Players Return For Penguins

Both Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust have officially healed from their injuries and are back for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It's always a good day when two top-six forwards return to the lineup. At this time, the Penguins are red hot, as they now have a 17-8-5 record and are silencing their critics. Things should only get better from here with Guentzel and Rust back.

Guentzel has not played for the Penguins since December 6th's contest against the Seattle Kraken. Yet, in his return against the San Jose Sharks, he already has a goal in the first period. With it, he now has 16 goals and 28 points in 25 games.

Rust has been out of the lineup even longer, as he last played on November 24th. Like Guentzel, he hasn't looked rusty at all, as he already has a goal and an assist in his return.

The Penguins are are trying to catch up to the Washington Capitals, Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers in the Metropolitan Division right now, so getting healthy is a major necessity for them. Now, all they need is Evgeni Malkin back.
