NHL Rumors: Coyotes Shopping Young Forward

According to Elliotte Friedman, Lawson Crouse is another player who the Arizona Coyotes may end up trading at the deadline.

At just 24 years old, Crouse will still be a restricted free agent this summer. However, he also is inching closer to UFA status, so the Coyotes may elect to move him sooner rather than later. When looking at how well he's been playing this campaign, they certainly could land themselves a pretty solid return for the power forward.

After a disappointing 13-point campaign in 51 games last season, Crouse has rebounded entirely. In just 30 games, he already has eight goals and 15 points. When producing at a level like this, he could be an excellent middle-six winger to possess. The 6'4" forward also plays an extremely heavy game, as he already has 77 hits during this young campaign. During the 2018-19 season, he also had a whopping 288 hits in 81 contests.

Teams looking to add a player who can provide both depth scoring and sandpaper should certainly be calling the Coyotes about Crouse. Perhaps a lucky franchise could land him along with star defenseman Jakob Chychrun in a blockbuster. Many contenders would love to do that, but boy, would they have to pay a big price.
