NHL Rumors: Montreal Canadiens Receiving Trade Offers for Popular Forward

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Montreal Canadiens are expected to make a number of moves before the trade deadline and one player who is drawing a ton of interest from other teams includes forward Artturi Lehkonen.

Seravalli recently commented on the Canadiens outlook before late March and had this to say about what he expects from the hockey club:
The player I believe is most in-demand from the Montreal Canadiens is Artturi Lehkonen. Teams see Artturi Lehkonen as this year’s version of Blake Coleman. The scouting report on Artturi Lehkonen is that he does everything in his game exceptionally well except finish, which is ironic because he is Finnish, and that’s the guy that teams are really after to get. I know at least three teams that are begging the Montreal Canadiens to try and get Artturi Lehkonen.

The 26-year-old former second-round pick of the Habs is a player that's beloved by teammates and coaches alike. He battles each and every shift and regardless of where the team is in the standings you can rely on Lehkonen to play hard. Line mates love playing with the native of Finland because of his smarts, positioning and fore-check prowess. He's making $2.3 million on the salary cap this season and next season becomes a restricted free agent.

As Seravalli points out, at least three teams are interested and that's likely going to increase as we creep closer to the deadline. Playoff bound teams would love to add Lehkonen to their forward group as he's versatile and can play up and down the lineup and in all situations. So far in 37 games he's put up 15 points.
