Video: Sabres' Krebs Scores First NHL Goal

In Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres forward Peyton Krebs scored his first NHL goal after tipping in Henri Jokijarhu's shot from the point.

Krebs is one of the main pieces the Sabres got back from the Vegas Golden Knights in the Jack Eichel trade. The 2019 first-round pick is viewed as having a lot of potential and is making a case for himself to stay at the NHL level. Today's game showed that perfectly, as he added another goal later on in the contest, too.

At the NHL level thus far, Kreb hasn't had the most success offensively yet. In 20 total games over three seasons, he has two goals and four points. However, this is the kind of game that could help the 20-year-old break the ice from here.

Krebs also has had an excellent season in the AHL this year, too. In 18 games between the Henderson Silver Knights and Rochester Americans, he has four goals and 15 helpers. Again, the kid can be a real offensive threat, and it will be fun to see it translate over to the NHL level.

Nevertheless, congrats on your first goal, Peyton!
