NHL Rumors: Kings And Flyers Discussing Trade

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Los Angeles Kings are expressing interest in Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny.

Philadelphia reportedly came close to moving Konecny during the offseason but ultimately decided against it. Yet, with how badly the Flyers' season has gone, it's apparent that they are ready to make moves. This is especially true when remembering that they made several big additions during the offseason. Things have only gotten worse for the team since, however.

The Kings are in a position where they can be buyers at the deadline. They would benefit from adding another top-six forward to their group, and Konecny fits that description. With the Wild Card race being so close in the Western Conference, it may force Los Angeles to make at least one notable trade at the deadline.

Konecny has eight goals and 22 assists in 48 contests this season with the Flyers. He currently has a six-game point streak, so he certainly is helping raise his trade value in the process. Let's see if the 24-year-old ends up in LA from here.
