NHL Rumors: Stars Forward Drawing Interest

If the Dallas Stars fall out of playoff contention, they are expected to trade Alexander Radulov, according to Frank Seravalli

Radulov is in the final year of his currently in the final year of his contract. Although he has a 15-team no-trade list, the Stars still would have a decent amount of wiggle room to find him a new home. Furthermore, if Dallas does end up falling out of contention, the 35-year-old would also likely be open to a move.

It's been a hard year for Radulov, though. In 41 games, he has just two goals to go along with 14 assists. This kind of production is immensely low for him. Keep in mind, he has 12 points in just 11 games last season and also had back-to-back 72 point-campaigns not too many seasons ago. Due to this, there still should be teams willing to acquire him - assuming that Dallas retains some of his current $6.25 million cap hit.

A Radulov trade will solely depend on how the Stars perform for the rest of the season. At this time, they have a 26-19-2 record and trail the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks by one point. Thus, there is a real battle for the second Wild Card spot, so let's see how the rest of this year unfolds.
