Video: Duncan Keith Knocked Unconscious During Game

The Chicago Blackhawks visited Rogers Place in Edmonton for a matchup with the Oilers on Wednesday night, eventually pulling out a 4-1 victory in the process. NHL All-Star Alex DeBrincat led the Blackhawks with a 3-point night, while goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 40 of 41 shots on the other end of the ice to seal the win.

Last night's game was just the second time that Oilers defenseman Duncan Keith has faced his former team, with whom he won three Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013, and 2015. The 38-year-old signed with Edmonton this offseason after spending 16 seasons in Chicago and has tallied 1 goal and 14 assists in 35 games, proving to be a productive player despite his age.

A worrisome moment occurred late in the first period involving Keith when Chicago was already leading 2-0, Blackhawks winger Sam Lafferty had possession of the puck and streaking towards the net when the 2x Norris Trophy winner made a play to disrupt his momentum. Keith instead lost his balance when his left skate made contact with Lafferty's right skate and was spun around before falling hard into the boards and appearing to lose consciousness on the ice momentarily:

Keith left the game and did not return, and he is thought to be "questionable at best", according to CBS Sports, for Friday's game vs. the New York Islanders.
