NHL Rumors: 2 Frontrunners Emerge In Hampus Lindholm Sweepstakes

According to Darren Dreger, the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins are the "prime contenders" to land Anaheim Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm.

The Ducks have been scratching Lindholm in preparation for a move, as they don't want the 28-year-old to sustain an injury to restrict a trade from happening. Now, we have this major update, and it appears that the Blues and Bruins are in a bidding war.

Lindholm is capable of playing top-pair minutes, so it makes that two teams who could use another left-handed defenseman are calling the Ducks about him. It's been another very good season for the veteran, as he has five goals, 17 assists, and an even rating.

Although these two are currently leading the sweepstakes, don't count out other buyers. Things can change in the blink of an eye, so it wouldn't be shocking to see other teams pursue him more heavily from here.
