NHL Rumors: Colorado Avalanche Not Finished Making Moves

The Colorado Avalanche pulled off a big trade on Monday night as the team acquired bruising defenseman Josh Manson from the Anaheim Ducks. Turns out they may not be finished as Pierre LeBrun of TSN is reporting the team is looking to make more moves and some big names could be included.

The Avalanche have been linked to Giroux all season long as general manager Joe Sakic has been trying to acquire a right-handed forward for his top six. The long-time Flyer would be a perfect fit as he's versatile, has a ton of experience and is a character guy in the dressing room. Playing him on the right-wing with Nazem Kadri makes for an interesting look to Colorado's second line.

Another team the Avs have been linked to, the Toronto Maple Leafs. They continue to be talked about as potential trade partners so we'll see if anything comes out of the noise.

Sakic and company are going to do whatever they can to improve their hockey club before the trade deadline. The team is loaded with talent and they'd be doing an injustice if they didn't go all-in. We've see one move already with Josh Manson bolstering their blue line and expect to see at least one more move out of Colorado.
