NHL Rumors: Major Changes On The Way For Predators

After being swept and completed dominated by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs, the Nashville Predators are heading into the offseason with several different questions. It's become clear that they aren't good enough to be contenders, and with this, we could end up seeing multiple changes to their roster this offseason.

The biggest issue that the Predators have this summer is Filip Forsberg's pending UFA status. Will the Preds be able to convince the 27-year-old to stick around? He's earned the right to test free agency, and the team getting swept does not help their chances of keeping him.

If the Predators officially lose Forsberg, they will have a major decision to make. They have cap space to work with, so they could be aggressive on the market. However, this potentially devastating departure could also spark GM David Poile to consider moving other players instead. Either way, the Predators are a team to watch extremely closely this summer. They simply can't sport the same roster next season and expect a different result.
