NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots For Filip Forsberg

Filip Forsberg may have played his last game as a Nashville Predator. The team was completely dominated during their four-game series against the Avalanche, and now the star winger's contract is officially up. Unless the Predators send him a major last-minute contract offer, he will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. If he officially hits the open market, don't be surprised to see these teams target him.

New Jersey Devils: The Devils are going to be extremely active this summer. Besides having strong center depth, their roster has several holes that need to be fixed. GM Tom Fitzgerald has made it known that he wants to add a top-of-the-line winger to play with Jack Hughes, and Forsberg would give them just that.

Los Angeles Kings: The Kings took a major step forward this season and should be aggressive during the offseason because of it. LA will have money to work with and could use another top-six winger in their lineup moving forward. Adding Forsberg would help them become much stronger at left wing. It also doesn't hurt that he has a previous connection with Viktor Arvidsson.

Carolina Hurricanes: The Hurricanes are a team to watch in the Forsberg sweepstakes. With players like Vincent Trocheck and Nino Niederreiter having expiring contracts, they will have holes to fill if they both leave. Forsberg would be a major upgrade to the contender's forward group, so perhaps they could find a way to bring the star in.
